At the end of the course, you will be able to bring new approaches to characterisation, developing storylines and engaging different subject matters.

This course is suitable for both novel and short story writers.

This course will take place live through the conferencing platform, Zoom. There are a limited number of places available on this course and interaction and sharing of work between peers will be encouraged. Guidance for using Zoom will be provided in advance before the course starts.

About the Tutor:

Jacob Ross is a novelist, short story writer, editor and creative writing tutor and anthologist. His crime fiction novel, The Bone Readers, won the inaugural Jhalak Prize in 2017. His literary novel Pynter Bender was shortlisted for the 2009 Commonwealth Writers Regional Prize and chosen as one of the British Authors Club’s top three Best First Novels. His recently published collected stories, Tell No-One About This cover a span of forty years. Jacob Ross’s latest novel, Black Rain Falling was published in March 2020. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature and Associate Fiction Editor at Peepal Tree Press.
