£70.00£75.00

At the beginning of this one-day course, you will learn about the history of the artist’s book and how this art form has developed. Then you will begin to create your own book. First, Emma will guide you through creating a short piece of writing inspired by memory and the senses. Then Duncan will show you how to make a series of collagraph prints to accompany your writing, using recycled and natural materials – which you’ll print on a printing press built out of a repurposed Victorian washing mangle using vegetable-oil based, non-toxic inks. At the end of the day, Emma and Duncan will show you how to bind your images and writing into your own artist’s book which you will be able to take home with you.
